Terms of service
What you can expect from Onflows, and what we expect from a school using it.
Draft. These terms describe how Onflows actually operates today, but they are still under legal review ahead of general availability. If your school needs a countersigned agreement now, ask us before you begin.
The service
Onflows is a hosted school operating system. Your school gets its own portal, its own records, and access for the people you invite. There is nothing to install and no server for you to run.
Your account
You are responsible for who you invite and what role you give them. Every action in Onflows is attributed to the person who took it, so keep sign-in credentials to the person they belong to. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Plans, limits and payment
- The free plan is genuinely free, for up to 300 students, with no time limit and no card.
- Paid plans are priced per school, not per teacher. Every plan includes every role and unlimited staff logins.
- Your student limit is the number of students currently on your roll. A student who has left keeps their records but stops using a place.
- You are warned from 80% of your limit. At the limit, new admissions and imports pause until the plan is raised — nothing you already have is affected, and nothing is deleted.
- You can change plan in either direction at any time. Your data, users and history stay exactly as they are; a downgrade closes the capabilities the lower plan does not include.
Your data
Your school's records are yours. We store and process them on your instructions, do not sell them, and do not use them to train anything. How they are held is described in our privacy policy.
You can export your data at any time. If you leave, we will delete it on request.
Acceptable use
Use Onflows for running your school. Do not attempt to access another school's records, probe or interfere with the service, or upload material you have no right to hold. We may suspend an account that does — and separation between schools is enforced by the database regardless, not merely forbidden here.
Availability
We take backups and work to keep Onflows available, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on the published plans. If your school needs one, that is an Enterprise conversation and we will put it in writing rather than imply it here.
Ending it
You can stop using Onflows whenever you like, export your data, and ask us to delete it. We may end the arrangement for non-payment, or for a serious breach of acceptable use, with notice and with your export available first.
Changes to these terms
If we change something that materially affects your school, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than quietly update this page.
