What is the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus for 2026-27?

The Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus (also called the Samacheer Kalvi syllabus) for 2026-27 covers Class 1 to Class 12 in 4 stages: Primary (Class 1 to Class 5), Middle (Class 6 to Class 8), Secondary (Class 9 to Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 11 to Class 12). The Tamil Nadu State Board school year runs from June to April, in 3 terms. Tamil Nadu State Board board exams are held at SSLC and HSC. The pass mark is 35% at every stage. In Class 12, students study Tamil and English and choose the rest from 9 subjects, including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
